We expect students to take pride in their appearance. All pupils are, therefore, expected to wear the school uniform.
Years 7 – 11
• plain navy blue blazer with an embroidered school badge must be worn throughout the school day
• plain white school shirt. This must be long enough to tuck in to trousers or skirt
• tie in house colour
• plain black tailored trousers which are loose around the ankle (no skinny fit trousers) or black fully pleated knee-length skirt (where the pleats run evenly all the way around the skirt and go from the hem to the waistband). Students of any gender may of course wear tailored trousers. Half pleated, panel, skater or tube skirts are not allowed.

• shorts: please see new section on shorts below.
Socks: socks or tights should be worn and should be black. They should be worn below the knee or ankle length.
Shoes: shoes must be plain black leather (or leather look) polishable school shoes. They must have low heels and have no ‘flashes’ or lighter colours. They should be clean for the beginning of the day. Trainers, boots or excessively platformed shoes are not allowed.
Belts: If a belt is worn it should be plain black or dark grey.
Outdoor Clothes: Hoodies, denim or leather jackets are not permitted in school. Coats should be suitable for the outdoors, specifically waterproof material and warm.
Shorts – Optional in Summer Term Only:
Black, knee-length, tailored shorts should sit just above the knee. Traditional fit, tailored style and fabric in nature (cargo-style pockets, chino, linen, Lycra, PE or visible logos are not permitted). Grey/charcoal shorts are not acceptable in line with our skirt and trousers expectations above. The school reserves the right to judge if the shorts are fashion shorts, overly tight or light in colour. They should be tailored as school trousers are.
Other Equipment: The school will provide textbooks and exercise books. However, pupils are asked to come to school with their own basic equipment. Please make sure your child has:

Pupils are responsible for the security of their own possessions and all personal items should be labelled with their name. This includes school uniform, PE kit, etc. Label trainers, football boots, watches and pencil cases as well.
Pupils are expected to treat school property with care and respect. Everyone benefits from working in a pleasant environment. Pupils must not borrow anyone else’s property without their permission.
