PC COACHES 901 + 902 UPDATE PC Coaches of Lincoln have made us aware that a lorry has overturned on the A1/A17 roundabout causing significant complications. The 901 Grantham route and 902 Swinderby route will be delayed as traffic tries to find alternative routes in Newark town centre. YEAR 9 RUGBY FESTIVAL Well done to the Year 9s who played in a mixed touch rugby festival yesterday having never played together and went on to win! They should hopefully progress through to the Regional Round, which could then lead to a trip to Twickenham!

SWRA MAKE IT TO BUCKINGHAM PALACE Congratulations to Maddie Stevens and ex-student Ruben Surtees who attended a garden party at Buckingham Palace last week, to celebrate achieving their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. After completing their Bronze in 2022, their Silver in 2023 and their Gold this year, they are the first SWRA students to ever achieve the Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award! We are so proud of you, well done! Miss Graves was invited along too for her role in running DofE at school, and providing this opportunity to 498 students over four year. We hope to see many more students invited to the Palace in coming years!

ATTENBOROUGH HOUSE DAY Attenborough House celebrated the legend that is Sir David Attenborough on Friday, ahead of us 99th birthday this week, with a sea of green across school and hundreds of house points on offer. 7A won the Guess the Explorer Quiz £300 was raised at the bake sale for the WWF charity. Crab football was won by Windrush Human hungry hippos was won by Windrush Junk modelling was won by Attenborough Donkey derby was won by Robertson Animal crossing was won by Seacole Race Across the World was won by Attenborough Just Dance was won by Attenborough Mindfulness activities was won by Attenborough Cinema viewings of Attenborough documentaries were very popular This means the results from Attenborough Day were: 1st – Seacole (424) 2nd – Windrush (395) 3rd – Attenborough (368) 4th – Robertson (280) Congratulations to the Attenborough Ambassador Team for organising and running a wonderful day!

TRANSPORT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS OF LINCOLNSHIRE PUPILS MOVING TO POST 16 EDUCATION IN SEPTEMBER 2025 All young people moving into post 16 education and who require school or college transport must make a new transport application, even if they are staying at the same school. Applications can be made online at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/school-college-transport. The transport application should be made as soon as possible and preferably before 31 May. Please be advised that there is a charge for post 16 transport provision.
